HAPPY NEW YEAR! Is this the year you want to stop smoking? According to the Surgeon General, “Smoking cessation (stopping smoking) represents the single most important step that smokers can take to enhance the length and quality of their lives.” Click here for some resources to help you or someone you know quit for good!

SAVE THE DATE: Riverhead CAP and the Riverhead Community Coalition for Safe and Drug-Free Youth will present a parent and community forum on the rise of prescription drug abuse by youth. Join us in the Riverhead High School Auditorium on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 7:00 pm.

GUIDING GOOD CHOICES: A program for parents of children in grades 4-8.
CAP continues to offer this 4-5 session program FREE for parents in the Riverhead Central School District. This interactive program gives families the skills to work together to prevent children from abusing alcohol and other drugs in the future. CAP will provide the program at your site or ours, including lunchtime and after work! A great opportunity for businesses and existing community groups to participate. We can also organize groups for any individuals who are interested in attending. Call 727-3722 to sign up.
